sportsmanship!

Do you have it? Do your kids have it? And are you sure??? What do they do when you are not looking!
Well what I witnessed today will surprise you, or will it??

There is this little girl that was on Sydney's team last fall. ( I probably blogged about her dad before, but I'm to lazy to look it up and link it) For certain reasons...I will call this little twerp, I mean girl, ANN and I will call her dad, BOB.( these names are not remotely close to their real names)

So just to update you... our team is made up of 5 yr old girls. We have an excellent coach, seriously!!!, we love this coach.( The last guy we had was dippin Skoal during the game in front of 4 yr olds, okay whatever he is another story....)
So, he is a great coach. and we had Ann and Bob last year. Bob is one of those dads that pushes their kids way way over the limit. This guy acted like he was training her for the Olympics! He told me once that he was going to get her a blind thinging to keep her from seeing the basketball!! He totally thought he sounded sooo cool, but I was like what EVER, freak!! He also talked horrible to his kid and she did to him and his wife in turn. Okay, so hopefully you get the picture?!
Well this year he didn't put is girl on our team. Obviously are girls are not competitive enough. DUH!!! They are FIVE!! They are just learning and having fun. Well well well. GUESS WHO we played the first game??? That's right we played the team that he switched his girl to!! Of course he was his usual self and she was too!! She likes to play dirty, grabbing girls shirts and such. BOB was pushing her to the extreme!!

After the game, we give the girls drinks and snacks. I witnessed ANN walk up to one of our players and say "WEEEE WON!!" In the most rude tone!! Well, I was not going to let her get by with it. And if some of you know me...... sometimes I really don't care if your parents are standing right there.

I said to her "ANN, you don't say things like that"
She says to me totally stunned that she was caught " I was just joking"
I say" I don't care, that is rude and you never ever say that to another teams player"
nuff said!! (Little twerp!) I can't stand kids that are like this!! I will have my eye on her!

But I guarantee if one of her parents would have said something to me, I would have told them they needed to take a few lessons in SPORTSMANSHIP!!!
