Conversations with Ashton

1. I was running Ashton's bath water: I guess I got it a little too hot.
He was straddling the tub and looked up at me holding his ***** and said "Hot Barnacles!!!!"

2. " Mom are you going to get old? "
Yes. "and then die".
He has this notion that only old people die and that little children or Mommy's or Daddy's can die. I have tried to explain this to him, but whatever!!

3. "Hey buddy, do you want some hot chocolate?" it is warm and Delicious!

4. I was dancing in the car, you know being obnoxious with the kidos. and Ashton says to me. "Mom, when you dance it gives me a headache!"

Effortless Potty Training

If Nathan is running around in just a diaper or nothing...he will now make it to the bathroom and climb up on the toilet and go pee!! Then he says "YEA!!" and wants a high five.

I know it's just the begining, but it's a start. So I am hoping and praying that by this summer I will be
D I A P E R FREE!!!
(well not me personally, but ya know!)

He is soooo proud of himself!

The most inquisitive child ever!!

My Son Ashton is the most inquisitive child ever. I have to be on my toes. He ask questions about everything.... His teacher last year absolutely loved him because he was the only two yr old that talked and he kept them going!! This year he is one of only two boys in class and 6 girls!! The other boy is a bit shy and depends on Ashton's charisma. Here are a few examples of his curiosity:
1. Parking in a parking garage he wanted to know:
Why is is called a parking garage?
What is is made of?
How do they do it?
Why do they build them.

2. Elevator to the restaurant:
What is this button for?? Setting off the alarm!

3. Walking to the car ....
" What is this button for"....setting off the emergency alarm in the parking garage! ( I had to wait for the security to call to tell them it was a curious 3yr old.)

Forward to the next morning...

We went to see the Santa Express at our Union Station. 1. He tried to set off the escalator emergency STOP button! I was quick on that one!!

2. Admiring the Gingerbread village....
"Daddy is the candy real or pretend???" Real. So we can eat it.
There is more... but I would be here all day. He basically ask question about every thing, every person. He wants to know how everything works and why.

He remembers everything too! If you tell him why and how. He will remember and when he sees it again he will tell me all about it and say "Right, Mommy?" "Right, Ashton, you are smart!"
He will definitely make a big impact on the world one day!

My last two yr old

Nathan is two. He is the baby. He is the last one to go through the terrible twos antics!! Right now his big things are:

*Helping me cook(which is very annoying),
*Getting toilet paper and shredding it all over the house(he literally runs in circles around my house wrapping the walls)
*Opening the 'frig and helping himself
*Being adamant about NOT doing something, things that he has always done(like wearing certain clothes) Okay this one gets to me. HE is a BOY!! HE is TWO!!
*Flushing things in the toilet!!
* Basically anything that will get the entire crew in trouble.

He doesn't mean to. He is very sweet. I know that he is in a time of discovery, but so help me when they happen I want to loooooooooose it!
But in light of it all, he is a funny little boy! He has such passion when doing things and adds a wonderful expressionism to it! One like no other! Example: The other day I turned off the TV and he was turning it back on.. So I turned the cable box off which won't allow you to turn on the TV. You have to have the remote. Well, he found the remote and just happened to hit the correct button!! He thought he was "IT". I was prancing around with that remote like it was a magic wand and he was the owner. Not to mention he was NUDE!! (I wish I could have videoed the whole thing but who knew it was going to turn out that way.) It was the most hilarious thing ever! Lonnie and I were laughing soo hard. In turn made Nathan behave even more silly.

Makes all the antics worth it!
