Saturday news.....

Well sorry it has been a week or more....but I am here to report the latest news...

1. Everyone is over the flu and pretty much healthy. Except for Nathan, he has conjunctivitis again. It's weird he only has "junk" coming out of his eyes, they are not swollen and only a little red. As a baby it took his eyes like 3 months to clear up. Usually when he gets it it is directly after a cold. He had the flu two weeks ago. I dunno.

2. Ashton had the stomach flu "something" AGAIN!!!!!!!! I say something because I am not so sure that is what it is. I have a feeling he might have some sort of IBS and may be that is coming from a food allergy!! Well see. I am having him checked. I have been convinced that it has always been a virus but it has been going on and off for about 4 months. So now I am convinced otherwise.

3. My Granny Brown died last week. My "Dad's" Mom. My PaPo died almost two years ago and she has been ready to go ever since then. She has had a will to die!! She only wanted to be with him. They had been a couple since she was 15 yrs old!! she was 86! We all went to her funeral on Wednesday. It was really beautiful! Long Catholic Mass funeral!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only took the girls. Lonnie stayed home with the boys and my sis's little one! She was a woman who was absolutely full of life and wanted everyone to be happy. She loved to celebrate life! We all said she wouldn't want all of us to be sad but to be happy that she was where she wanted to be and for all of use to celebrate being together as a family!! And we did!! It was great to see my cousins and their children and all of my aunts and uncles!

4. We left late on Wednesday to get home. The girls had already missed way tooo much school. this was a bad idea. Both Lonnie and I were tired. I told him could not drive. I was emotionally exhausted and was working on like 10 hrs of sleep in two days. However, I cannot sleep in the car when Lonnie drives. Something in me doesn't trust him!!
I'm sitting there holding my eyes open with my palms and all of a sudden the van veers to the left and I think to myself "he's going to come back over" NO!!!!! HE was FREAKING ASLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AT THE WHEEL!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, knowing Lonnie... He would freak out when I woke him. So I grabbed the wheel to steady it and then said " L O N N I E " He did freak out and almost jerked the van over, like on it's side. Just imagine a squirrel not knowing which way to go, frantically looking left right left right left right....................... We ended up being okay!! Thank you God, Thank you God for keeping me awake and getting us home safe!

5. There was a dusting of snow on the ground this morning!!
People I am sooooo sick of snow. So much for Al G0res theory (don't get me started)
I feel like we live in Wisconsin!! This is ridiculous!
It is spring break and it is going to rain all week!!

5 PUCKERED UP HERE!:

I'm sorry for your loss, but I am also so grateful y'all were ok! I have fallen asleep at the wheel before and it is such a scary experience.

My husband and I just found out that I am pregnant with our fourth child and I was so glad to see your blog... it sounds like my life all ready (the five of us were sick the entire month of February with the flu). It was a confidence boost to hear from a mom who sounds much like me, only with one more.
